What a cam!
I was amused when I saw these resistances on a hook when I last visited Addison Électronique. The clerk told me they still had some boxes in the warehouse but that of course, this set was not part of the electronic pieces of great interest. The only reason I would buy this item would be for educational purposes to provide disparate pieces to a youngster so that he would have fun discovering their properties.
This relatively new junk yard is heaven on earth for any handyman who sees things the big way.
You’ll find any part you need for your projects. Behind me, there were also city and tour buses, straight body boxes with sometimes old equipment inside, trailers, and heavy equipment vehicles such as boom trucks like those used by electricity companies.
The yard is open on Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm and a service employee is in charge of transporting you, your tools and your parts with his pickup truck between the entrance and your favourite spot in the yard. Just call him a few minutes before you’re ready to leave and he’ll get you back to the main entrance.
Prices made at the cash are literally AMAZING DEALS. 100$ for Webasto heater, 20$ for a box full of lights and knobs…
Note that CASH ONLY is accepted for used parts.
Here’s a 10 Mb high-res map of their land from google. click on it to open it full size. This shot is from 2016. Quite a work to stitch it all together…
This picture of me about 6 or 7 years ago is the last and only element I have to prove I was doing some Live Sound Engineering after something i will not discuss about happened. I do still have the touch, but it seems that it will be hard for me now to get back in the game at another position that stepping back to rolling cables and sweeping the floor.
If any of those who I have worked with are willing to add something just below about some work we did together in the past, go ahead, this page is all yours.
I once went to a “Patio Vidal” restaurant for dinner as a Vegan… and wanted to simply have a pasta plate with some tomato sauce, not the regular meat sauce. It wasn’t on the menu so i asked the waitress if i could had a veggie version of the classic spag and that they could maybe use the pizza sauce if they didn’t had any veggie pasta sauce. She told me: ” just a minute, l’ll go ask in the kitchen…”. Few seconds later, the cook himself was back at my table and offered me to make me “super spag” with lot of sauteed vegtables in it, spices, the everything! My answer was of course: “Go for it!”
In fact, the guy was just really bored flipping burgers and saw that little request as a great opportunity to make himself some fun as well as making a customer happy.
I could had been answered by the waitress a boring way like ” we don’t have that, sir”, but if you don’t like what the soundman is doing actually, simply both of you are maybe just not trying to reach the same destination.
Express yourself to him if you don’t like what you hear in the monitor. Tell him how you feel about what’s going on, about what YOU except to hear. After all, nobody’s the same and if you don’t express yourself, you may only get the regular condiments on your hot-dog and it will only be a great opportunity for you to spread around that this soundman has no experience and isn’t really a true one, which can be totally false.
– Lire en français – I don’t say it. Despite the various reasons given by the STM in order to support their decision to keep the free hugs outside the turnstiles, the fact remains that 89% of the people who responded to the survey initially launched on the Journal De Montréal website are clearly in favor of their presence inside the Montréal subway.
Since all good things must come to an end, I now see myself forced to abandon my favourite location next to the small convenience store, downstairs, inside the Jean-Talon station.
Tomorrow will be another world; A world where people will no longer have to beware of strangers.
A big thank you to all the supporters of this movement, to all the people who have written me such beautiful comments everywhere on the web, to all free huggers of the universe for the wonderful work you do, no matter why do it and to all the people who have until now come to share a hug with a hugger , no matter once again why you did it.
